Learn to get ONLINE

ONLINE LEARNING – WE CAN HELP!

Computers and internet can seem daunting if you’ve never been online before, or if you don’t have the skills you need to do what you want with them.

You may have the basic skills, but using your laptop, mobile or tablet might be proving a frustrating challenge, particularly as many companies (e.g. airlines requiring online check-in) and government departments (tax discs, proof of job-seeking online etc.) are encouraging us to do it all online.

Wendover Community Library is running a series of FREE sessions that will help you get started. Separate sessions are being held as follows:

1. LEARN MY WAY - Absolute beginners who want to get to know computer fundamentals and how to access to the internet. See the website Learn My Way for more information.

2. e-Gadgets - Those who are comfortable with email and internet but have recently acquired a smartphone or tablet/Ipad and want some guidance.

Depending on take-up we will hold further sessions (new beginners only) on the first Tuesday of each month until further notice.

SESSION TIMES:

'Learn my Way' - We have room for 4 people for the 2.15 - 3.15pm session and 4 people from 3.30pm -4.30pm.

We provide ONE TO ONE training on each Library PC - or bring your own laptop. We now have wifi/internet access. We will help you get started and help you to access online courses to follow a series of training that you can do at your own speed.

e-Gadgets -  2.15 - 3.15pm and  3.30pm - 4.30pm. Access to these sessions depend on demand. Please book in at the library and tell us what your e-gadget is and the help you require. We hope to accommodate as many as we can but want to be sure each has a good session.

ADVANCE BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.  PLEASE REGISTER FOR YOUR SESSION AT THE LIBRARY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
