THE BLUE MOMENT Richard Williams Richard Williams is a respected journalist who was deputy editor of Melody Maker, introduced The Old Grey Whistle Test and, more recently wrote about music and sport for the Guardian. This is his groundbreaking exploration of how he believes that Miles Davis's Kind of Blue influenced the whole course of late twentieth-century music. You may disagree with some of his conclusions, but he writes with great insight and had me listening again to one of the classic jazz recordings.
